Hi world! I’m so excited to be here with you today. It’s a brand new day and I’m ready and willing to take the steps necessary to get this party started! I hope you will join me on my walk over the bridge from dreaming of writing to writing my dream.

I’m releasing resistance today to forgiving myself for procrastinating this writing journey. It’s time to let the past go and take action NOW! Thanks to my coach Marlene, and a plethora of online motivational programs by Tony Robbins and others who have fired me up beyond imagination! Also thanks to COVID-19 for slowing things down and redirecting my focus to what is important. All of this has given me the time and “kick in the pants” I needed to get refocused and take this first step.

I have always loved reading and tell people I have dabbled with writing. But the truth is, I write every day! Emails, texts, letters, reports – there’s no end to what I write regularly for my J.O.B. and personal relationships. But that isn’t the writing I dream of doing. Initially I focused on writing children’s books at a time when I was reading them all the time to my own children. I completed a lengthy children’s book writing course, wrote and submitted a manuscript to a publisher, and got turned down.

At that time, I didn’t understand the dynamics surrounding getting a book published, so sadly I took that rejection to heart, gave up on my dream, and went back to my “real life.” I chalked up my writing career to being a pipe dream. Don’t let that happen to you if you can help it! But if it already has, today is another day, and anything is possible. BE the writer you are destined to be! BE the REAL YOU!

I commit today to being the real me – showing you the good, bad, and maybe even ugly (yikes!) that shows up on my path along the way to achieving my dreams of being a full time writer. Blogging and writing books (for adults this time) – is what I’m working toward now.

It may not be easy, but anything worth having is worth fighting for.

I've dreamed of being a published writer for many years, but had pushed it aside to focus on being a wife, mother, and commercial property manager. This blog is a journal of my experience as I create a new future one word at a time.
